ECOWAS Commission President visits Michel Arion

MICHEL Arion, head of the European Union, EU, delegation to Nigeria and the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Abuja, , has extolled the excellent relations between the EU and ECOWAS.
He made the statement on Tuesday, July 11, during a visit by Marcel de Souza, president of the ECOWAS Commission.
Arion, who is ending his duty tour to Abuja, after more than 12 years as the head of the EU delegation to Nigeria and the ECOWAS Commission, expressed his profound gratitude to President de Souza for his visit.
‘Your visit is a great honour for me and a sign of the outstanding cooperation between the EU delegation and the ECOWAS Commission’, noted Arion.
Like him, de Souza, also praised the good cooperation between the ECOWAS Commission and the EU representation in Nigeria.
‘This cooperation was productive in many respects. That is why, I decided to come personally to the EU representation here in Abuja to congratulate its head of delegation’, explained de Souza after his visit.
he was accompanied on the visit by Abel Emilio, his Press Attaché, and Jérôme Boa, Ag. Director of External Relations.
