ECOWAS Regional Stabilisation, Development Fund launched in Benin

INITIATED by the ECOWAS Commission with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ, this fund aims to promote socio-economic stabilisation and recovery within fragile communities in the ECOWAS region through socio-economic investments and capacity building, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups, especially women and youth.

The activities of this fund were officially launched on September 11 in Cotonou in the presence of the national press by Habib TIDJANI, Technical Advisor to the Minister of State in charge of Economy and Finance of Benin.

Also present were Amadou DIONGUE, ECOWAS Resident Representative in Benin, Felix KRESS from the German Embassy in Benin, representatives from GIZ, KFW, CARE International, and other national implementation partners.
