THE Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Marine Beach, Apapa, on Sunday celebrated 60th anniversary.

The event featured N50 million fund raiser, and unveiling of the church’s  magazine.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event also featured thanksgiving to God.

The magazine is about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The event was attended by members of the church, heads of corporate bodies and others.

The special guest and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, charged  members of  the church to keep faith alive.

Dogara, represented by Brig-Gen. John Deda-Bulus,  said that evangelism remained the core mandate of the church.

According to him, ECWA is committed to promoting  evangelism, unity, peaceful coexistence and charity.

He urged members of the church to guard against disunity and other distractions.

“This is time for us to purge ourselves of petty things and make amends to gain salvation and build the desired society,” he said.

In a sermon, Rev. Kefas Gadda in charge of the branch, implored Christians to train their  children in the way of Jesus Christ and prepare them for leadership in the future.

Dr Garba Maikasuwa,  the Chairman of the event’s planning committee, said that funds raised would be used to carry out needed projects in the church.

NAN reports that Dogara was given an award for good works to the church and service to humanity. (NAN)
