THE President of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Stephen Baba, has tasked women to effectively contribute to nation building and growth of the Church.

Baba made the call at the opening ceremony of the ECWA Women Fellowship International Conference in Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday.

“As women, you are equipped with the necessary tools and resources from various backgrounds and it is expected you deploy these knowledge to nation building and growth of the church.

“Your primary call as women and mothers as empowered by the Holy Spirit is to build your homes and contribute to the advancement of the kingdom of God,” he added.

Baba, represented by Rev. Reuben Laulonji, Director of ECWA Christian Education Department, enjoined women to have trust and faith in God at all times.

He said the 2024 ECWA central theme: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time”, emphasised the importance of timing and significance of being prepared for opportunities.

Baba advised participants to have hope in God, saying “although your dreams and aspirations might not come to fruition immediately, God knows when best to provide solutions.

“The theme of this year encourages us to have faith in God and to understand that the timing of our accomplishments of our needs does not lay within our control, but with God,” he said.

Earlier in a sermon, Rev. Silas Yako, charged women to always demonstrate love and support to their families and the church.

Yako noted that the Bible urges Christians to check themselves to see if they are still standing in the faith, adding that as children of God, they should walk in His light.

In her speech, the Leader of ECWA Women Fellowship International, Dr Miriam Philip, stressed the importance for prayers in the life of a true Christian and charged participants not relent in prayers.

She decried the impact of the current economic and security challenges on the people, urging women to always pray for divine intervention.

Philip said that the group was perfecting arrangements to establish an ECWA Textile Company to help generate revenue for mission work globally.(NAN)
