THE 2024 governorship election in Edo State may be teetering into dangerous quarters as the All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided on styling thugs in Police uniform to unleash mayhem on Edo people during the election.
A chieftain of the party, Blessing Agbomere, who is a close ally of former Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, in a viral video, was recorded addressing the press in police gear, with a retinue of thugs lining behind him.
It was gathered that the APC has purchased not less than 4000 police uniform for thugs who they plan to unleash on the people to cause crisis and stoke chaos during the election scheduled for September 21, 2024.
This is as Governor Godwin Obaseki has raised the alarm over APC’s collusion with the Police to hound, arrest, kidnap and imprison chieftains of the PDP in the State.
