… pushing INEC to terminate election process
WITH results coming across the state showing that they are faced with imminent defeat, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in panic mode, is piling pressure on the military, which has maintained stability and sanity during the process so far, to withdraw from collation centers, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said.
In a statement, State Chairman of the PDP, Tony Aziegbemi, said that the APC is doing this to pave the way for thugs who are to work with some unscrupulous policemen to disrupt the collation of results.
According to him, “We have learnt that the APC is mobilizing thugs disrupt the collation process. They are piling pressure on the military to withdraw from the collation centres to achieve their devious plans.
“As we expected, the results are trickling in and we have the upper hand. But in panic mode, the APC is activating its sleeper cells to disrupt the collation centre after seeing signs of their imminent defeat.”
He noted that the APC’s alternate plan is to call for the election process to be terminated so as to save face, adding, “The APC is also plotting to terminate the voting process as they are scared of defeat. We are calling on all lovers of democracy to watch them closely.”
