Following the revelation of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, that the Inspector General Police, Kayode Egbetokun is working hand in gloves with the All Progressives Congress (APC), leading to the arrest of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last few weeks, the IGP has entered panic mode and has rushed to arraign the detained members of the PDP on trumped up charges.

The detained PDP members are said to be arraigned in a distant Magistrate Court in the suburb of Abuja, far away from where the crimes were allegedly committed.

Sources within the PDP have, however, described the move as a mere subterfuge and have insisted that the party will still not participate in the sham peace accord that a biased police is superintending over as their actions have shown that they are working in cahoots with the opposition APC.

The move is allegedly to advance the devious plans by the APC who have repeatedly boasted to use ‘Federal Might’ to ensure victory against the will or wishes of Edo people, having realized they don’t stand a chance at victory in a free, fair and credible election.
