Edo Govt to rebuild section of Stella Obasanjo Hospital

EDO government says it will rebuild a defect found in the newly inaugurated Stella Obasanjo Hospital in Benin.
The Commissioner for Heath, Dr Cyril Oshiomhole said this on Tuesday during an inspection tour of the facility.
It would be recalled that the hospital was remodeled and inaugurated by former governor Godwin Obaseki, shortly before the expiration of his tenure
The commissioner, who was accompanied by a team of medical consultants and the contractor handling the project, said that there were errors in the facility.
According to him, I went round the Stella Obasanjo Hospital to inspect the facility.
“We discovered some errors were made in the project construction. We have, however, brainstormed on what to do to ensure we correct the errors detected.
“Team work has helped us discover the error, and that is why you can see behind me gynaecologists and surgeons and some medical consultants who reare here to support me,” he said.
The commissioner disclosed that the contractor and the consultants have agreed to make the necessary adjustments, before the commencement of operations in the hospital.
Others who accompanied the commissioner on the inspection are the Permanent Secretary, Hospital Management Agency, Dr Efosa Aisien and the Director, Clinical Services, Dr Odiko David, among others.(NAN)
