EDO Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has commended the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Osarodion Ogie, for his contributions to the development of the state.
The governor’s commendation was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, in Benin.
The statement quoted Obaseki as saying this during the birthday celebrations of the SSG.
Obaseki said that Ogie had shown tremendous commitment to the welfare of the people and brought a brilliant spark to the business of governance in the state.
“I am excited to convey my hearty congratulations to my dear friend and brother, Osarodion Ogie, a quintessential gentleman and brilliant lawyer, who is serving as Secretary to the Edo State Government.
“He has proven, over the years, to be a dependable hand in the business of governance and he has been working assiduously for the development of the state.
“As a seasoned politician, Ogie worked for the benefit of the Edo people when he was Commissioner for Works and he is still doing same as Secretary to the State Government.
“As the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Ikpoba Okha Local Government area, he has ensured that the people feel the impact of government.
“He is helping to attract businesses, providing opportunities for job creation and entrenching a strong political structure that prioritises the interest of the people above other things,’’ he remarked.
The governor prayed God to spare Ogie’s life so that he would continue to serve the people in good health and contribute more to the development of the state.
