A leading international showcase of change-makers; Miss Face of Humanity (MFOH Nigeria) has continued to implement its pledge of advancing the course of education because of its importance to national development and humanity in general.
A testament to the will of the international franchise managed by Thecoaches to explore the place of education to humanity and contribute to addressing the challenges bedeviling the sector in Nigeria was underscored by the visit of the MFOH Nigeria’s Ambassador; Rita Chika Ezenwa, on Monday to LEA Primary School Wuse III, Zone 6, Abuja FCT.
The visit was a homecoming for MFOH Nigeria’s Amb. Chika Ezenwa, and was timely as the pupils were starting their second-term examination. Amb. Chika, on behalf of the brand, identified and paid the school fees of eight indigent, but serious-minded pupils, who could not be allowed to sit for the exams.
MFOH Nigeria also took care of the registration, PTA, Uniform, and school fees of one of the pupils, who had lost hope of continuing with her education due to lack of funds by the guardian.
Earlier, Amb. Chika, who was a pupil of the school had an interactive session with a cross-section of the pupils during which she admonished them to be resilient and focused as education provides stability in life and it’s something that no one can ever take away from you.
“By being well-educated, you increase your chances for better career opportunities and open up new doors for yourself. Education helps a person hone his communication skills by learning how to read, write, speak, and listen.
“Education develops critical thinking. This is vital in teaching a person how to use logic when making decisions and interacting with people,” she enthused.
While fielding questions from newsmen on the sidelines of the visit, Amb. Rita Chika Ezenwa revealed that whereas education is designed for the prosperity of humanity and needs to be taken more seriously, education is one sector that has not been given proper attention in Nigeria.
“Education is light to humans and brings one out of the dark. It is certainly the hope for a good life and its importance to man is immense and for this reason, must be given proper attention.
“Quality education must be delivered at all times in our schools so that humanity is touched and advanced positively. An uneducated society is the worst thing for humanity. It means that humanity should be about the humanity of humans which is polished by education,” Amb. Chika said.
The MFOH Nigeria team was received by the school Assistant II; Ms. Akawu Catherine, who thanked the brand and urged the Ambassador to continue to develop and nurture the needs of humanity through education.
