EFCC Arrests Ex-NNPC Boss, Andrew Yakubu, Jide Omokore

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested Andrew Yakubu, former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and Jide Omokore, businessman for alleged money laundering.

This was disclosed by a source from the commission, who said that Omokore and Yakubu would be arraigned this Tuesday, June 21, before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on four counts of money laundering.

“Other defendants to the charge are: Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited,” the source revealed.
