A Foundation known as Bobbo Development Foundation in Misau Local government area of Bauchi on Thursday distributed clothing materials to 150 orphans and vulnerable children in the area.

Speaking in Bauchi while handing over the materials to an Islamic sect, Jama’atu  Izalatul Bidia Waikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Founder of the Foundation, Alhaji Bakoji Bobbi, said the gesture was to enable the beneficiaries to have a sense of belonging during Sallah.

“The clothing materials are for the 150 orphans and the less privileged to have a sense of belonging during the Sallah celebration.

“The less privileged need the support and care of the general public in the society to survive,’’ he said.

Earlier, Chairman of the Foundation, Mr Bakoji Hamma, said the gesture was aimed at assisting orphans and less privileged to have clothes during the sallah celebration.

According to him, the orphans and less privileged were the most vulnerable groups in the society, considering the fact that they have lost their parents.

He reiterated that the gesture is in line with the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which placed much emphasis on orphans.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Master Ahmed Mohammed expressed appreciation to the foundation for the gesture.

He said it would accord them the opportunity to dress in new clothes and celebrate sallah with other peers. (NAN)
