
Ekiti Speaker commiserates with Sanwo-Olu, others over Lagos accident

SPEAKER of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, has commiserated with the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the train/bus collision which claimed some lives in the state on Thursday.
The Speaker, in a statement on Friday, signed by her Special Adviser (Media), Mr Odunayo Ogunmola, described the accident as “very sad and unfortunate.”
She commended Gov. Sanwo-Olu for his prompt response to the incident, for declaring three days of mourning and suspending campaign activities during the mourning period.
Adelugba also sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.
He prayed that God should grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.
The speaker also prayed that God should grant the deceased eternal repose and wished those injured and receiving medical attention a quick recovery.
She said the thoughts and prayers of the lawmakers, management and staff of the Ekiti State House of Assembly were with the victims and their families.
“We pray for them to pull through this difficult time,” she said.
Adelugba also called on drivers to be more cautious and obey traffic rules, noting that “life has no duplicate.” (NAN)
