THE Management of Ekiti United FC has signed on a new Head Coach, Kehinde Anjorin, for the club.

This is contained in a statement by the Acting Secretary of the club, Mr Tolulope Alabi, and made available to newsmen on Monday in Ado-Ekiti.

Alabi said the decision to ratify Anjorin’s appointment was taken at the Ekiti United FC Board meeting on Aug.15.

The acting-secretary of the Ekiti Government-owned club said the appointment of Ekiti-born coach was to improve the performance of the club ahead of the 2023 football season.

The statement also said the new head coach’s appointment would take effect from Sept. 1 as the team prepared for the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League.

It said that until Anjorin’s new appointment, he was the Head Coach (Football) Ekiti Sports Council.

It further said the new head was a graduate of the National Institute of Sports, a  CAF/NFF Instructor and  Chairman, Football Coach Association, Ekiti.

Meanwhile, the Ekiti United FC management board has lifted the ban on the club’s Secretary, Mr Ayodeji Olowolafe and directed him to resume duty.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Olowolafe was suspended few months ago for alleged negligence of duty. (NAN)
