Elections: Nigeria Hotel and Catering Institute congratulates Sanwo-Olu

THE Nigeria Hotel and Catering Institute (NHCI) has congratulated Gov. Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state on his re-election for a second term in office.
Mr Gbenga Sunmonu, NHCI President, in a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday, said his association noted that the multiplier effect of this victory on the growth of hospitality, tourism and catering businesses in the state would be massive.
“The hospitality and tourism sector in Lagos will boom with his return and promise to mobilise bridges of support to the rising greater Lagos tourism and hospitality offerings and opportunities.
“We at NHCI congratulate the governor and we shall ensure creative capacity building ethos and strategise, such that the growth of hospitality and catering businesses in Lagos are scaled up and sustained.
“We will ensure that real jobs, and standardisation of services and operations are factored and successfully laid to bare,” he said.
Sunmonu said NHCI was satisfied with the governor’s intervention and dedication to Lagos tourism space.
He suggested that capacity development, massive awareness, tax exemption regimes, land use charge review be further encouraged and pursued with vigour.
“We appreciate the grants given to the creative sector and other supporting budget releases within the ecosystem,” he said. (NAN)
