EMBER months: FRSC cautions drivers against speeding

CECILIA Alao, Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Monday, cautioned drivers against speeding and other dangerous driving habits in the yuletide period and beyond.

Alao, who gave the advice while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview, in Iseyin,Oyo state also advised drivers to be very careful and drive with full caution.

“There is no monster on the road in the yuletide. Our drivers, both commercial and private, must observe all the rules and regulations to ensure safe driving, this period and beyond.

“Our men will be on the road to ensure that we reduce crashes to its barest minimum, if possible avoid such crashes.

“We shall increase our education across the state.

“We shall randomly stop vehicles to check for essentials of a good vehicle on the road and also educate drivers on the need to drive safe.

“We have a mandate and duty to ensure that commuters ride safe on the road, “she said.
