Emir of Ilorin mourns Emir of Dutse

THE Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has condoled with the people of Jigawa over the death of Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi.

The Emir, who is also the Chairman of Kwara Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba, described the deceased as a foremost traditional ruler with penchant for human growth and community development.

In a condolence message by his Spokesman, Mallam AbdulAzeez Arowona, on Thursday in Ilorin, Sulu-Gambari said Sanusi’s over 27 years on the throne, was towards the betterment of his people, which made him an architect of the modern Dutse Emirate.

Sanusi died on Jan. 31.

“I received the news of the demise of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi II with great shock, but with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

“The deceased was a forthright monarch who exhibited tolerance, commitments, dedication and love for his subjects and beyond.

“In a bid to further attract growth and development to Dutse Emirate and Jigawa state in general, he fostered peaceful co-existence among residents of the state.

“I hereby extend the condolence of the entire members of the State Council of Chiefs to the family members of the late emir, Dutse Emirate Council, government and people of Jigawa state over the great loss,” he said.

The emir prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-Janatul Firdaus. (NAN)
