Emir of Ilorin mourns Mrs Shagaya’s mum, Alhaja Saadatu
General News
THE Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with a business mogul, Hajiya Muinat Bola Shagaya, over the death of her mother, Alhaja Saadatu AbdulRaheem.
This is contained in a condolence message issued by the Emir’s Spokesman, Malam AbdulAzeez Arowona, on Monday in Ilorin.
The first class traditional ruler described the deceased as a quintessential mother, who nurtured her children in line with the teachings of God.
Sulu-Gambari said the death was not only a loss to the Baakini family, but also a monumental loss to humanity, due to the numerous lives she touched with kindness during her lifetime.
The Emir recalled the interventions of the deceased’s daughter, Hajiya Shagaya, in the development of Ilorin Emirate and beyond through her philanthropic programmes.
He stressed that only quality motherhood could produce useful offspring that would impact positively on humanity.
Sulu-Gambari however urged Mrs Shagaya and her siblings to take solace in the fact that late Alhaja Saadatu lived an exemplary life, worthy of emulation.
He prayed Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and admit her into Al-janatul Firdaus.
Similarly, the Emir also expressed shock over the demise of his younger sister, Hajia Maryam Kolawole Sulu-Gambari, describing her demise as unfortunate and saddening.
He noted that the late sister was a trusted, caring and dedicated person, who never hide her loyalty to him.
The traditional ruler also prayed that Almighty Allah be pleased with her soul and comfort the entire royal family at home and abroad. (NAN)
