Energy company to provide uninterrupted electricity to Kano community

THE Management of Bagaja Renewables said it is currently testing its one mega watts independent peak connected solar mini grid plant that will provide green and sustainable electricity to Gida Dubu community in Kano State.
This is contained in a statement by the Project Director of the company, Alhaji Sadiq Zakari, and made available to newsmen in Kano on Sunday.
According to him, “our technical team has carried out the final phase of testing at the solar plant in Kumbotso Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
“The exercise involves evaluation of solar infrastructure, grid connectivity and overall system reliability to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance of infrastructure that will provide electricity supply to residents of the community.
“Early result from this exercise indicates a promising outcome and potential of the one mega watts peak interconnected solar mini grid to provide clean, sustainable and uninterrupted power supply to the people of the area,” Zakari said.
He noted that as the testing phase progresses, the company remains dedicated in addressing any challenges and optimizing system for the benefit of the community.
Zakaria also assured members of the community of the timely completion and take-off of the project.
The project director further explained that an independent solar mini-grid represents a significant leap towards energy independence and environmental sustainability in Nigeria.
He added that the company is committed to delivering reliable and resilient energy solutions that will not only meet the community’s power needs, but will contribute to reducing carbon footprint and fostering economic development.
“Bagaja renewable is the first independent one mega watts peak interconnected solar grid in Nigeria whose mission is to help unlock the economic potential of communities and businesses by meeting their energy needs.
“We also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) in 2022 to provide green energy to 100 unserved and underserved communities within Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States,” he revealed. (NAN)
