VINCENT Enyeama, captain of Super Eagles, is expected to lead several established Super Eagles stars to Tanzania for the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against the Taifa Stars.

Although Sunday Oliseh, coach of the Super Eagles, is expected to release the list of invited players for the game against Tanzania in the second week of August, feelers from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, showed that several foreign-based professionals would be included in the Nigerian team to Dar es Salaam. The likes of Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, who ply their trade with Chelsea of England are already pencilled down to be in the team.

Enyeama, who has sorted out the issues he had with the NFF over his comments after the game against Chad, has been tipped as a key player in Oliseh’s plans for the team. “From the way Oliseh spoke about Enyeama in our meetings, it tells you that the coach wants him to play a huge role in his team building for the Eagles,” a top source told africanFootball.com.

“He said the experience of Enyeama is needed by the team.  But he also highlighted the need to install discipline in the team.”
