Ex-NAN Editor-in-Chief, Ibrahim Mammaga dies at 62

A former Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Acting Managing Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Kawu Mammaga, is dead.
Mammaga, aged 62, died on Thursday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
His elder brother, Malam Zubairu Abdullahi, confirmed the development to NAN on Thursday in Kano.
He said the deceased felt sick in the afternoon and admitted at the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
The remains of the former EiC has since been buried at Tarauni cemetery in Kano metropolis, in accordance with Islamic rites.
He left behind a wife and six children.
Mammaga retired from service on April 1, 2020, after attaining 60 years of age.
He served as Zonal Manager, NAN Kaduna, Editor-in-Chief and acting Managing Director of the agency. (NAN)
