–

THE Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has dispelled the rumours making the rounds that it had started recruitment exercise.

Yakubu Dati, general manager, corporate affairs of the FAAN, in statement on Tuesday, November 17, said there was no truth in the publications of some sections of both the traditional and social media and asked that they be disregarded.

Dati said: “The last recruitment exercise in the authority took place between March and May, 2015 to recruit officers into the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service, ARFFS, Aviation Security, AVSEC, and Information Communication Technology departments which had shortage of professional staff. The exercise was concluded in May, 2015.”

He said at the appropriate time, the FAAN would invite successful candidates for mandatory training before deployment to various airports across the country.

Hence, the GM re-emphasised that no recruitment exercise was taking place in the FAAN at the moment.

He, however, warned those who were using the name of the corporation in fraudulent recruitment to desist forthwith. He called the attention of unsuspecting members of the public to some questionable recruitment websites being used to deceive and dupe unsuspecting applicants, and asked them to deal with only the authentic website of the FAAN, which is www.faan.g
