Factional Nasarawa assembly speaker tasks police officers on professionalism

ALHAJI Ibrahim  Abdullahi, the factional Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has advised officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), to be professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties.

Abdullahi gave the advice shortly after he decorated his orderly,  Mr Abdullahi Adamu, alongside his colleague, Mr Yusuf Shuiabu, with their new ranks on Friday in Lafia.

Adamu and Shuiabu were recently elevated from the ranks of sergeants to inspectors in the Police force.

The embattled speaker tasked the duo on hard work, commitment and operate within the tenets of their profession.

” I want to congratulate you on your promotion from the ranks of sergeants to inspectors in the Police force

” I  advise you to continue to put in your best and discharge your duties without fear or favour

“You must uphold and operate within the provision of the law and the ethics of your profession, “he advised.

Abdullahi further advised them to discharge their duties in the interest of peace and security of lives and property of the citizens.

Responding separately, Adamu and Shuaibu, thanked their boss for taking time out of his tight schedule to decorate them with their new ranks.

They promised to be good ambassadors of the police force and the society in general.(NAN)
