Fayemi approves dissolution of governing councils of higher institutions

GOV. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, has approved the dissolution of the Governing Councils of higher institutions in the state, with immediate effect.

Mr Yinka Oyebode, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, said this in a statement on Monday in Ado-Ekiti.

Oyebode said that the affected institutions included the state owned Universities, the state Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti and the College of Health Technology, Ijero- Ekiti.

He said that the dissolution was in line with extant transition policy of the state.

“The governor thanked the chairmen and members of the councils for the services rendered and wished them success in their future endeavours,” he said. (NAN)
