WILLIE Obiano, Anambra State Governor, says fear of a wife is beginning of marriage.

According to him there is need for mutual respect by couples at all times.

Gov. Obiano said this during the 8th Triennial Convention of Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, Amawbia Deanery/wedding ceremony of Benedict Obidike at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Amawbia.

The governor, who was represented by Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, secretary to the Anambra State Government, SSG,  explained that marriages among professionals sometimes suffer as a result of their work schedules.

He enjoined every couple to dedicate their marriage to God and mother Mary, for successful marriages.

Chukwulobelu in his personal comment noted some of Gov. Obiano’s achievement to include security, agriculture and prompt payment of salaries.

He called on all to support Obiano’s second tenure aspiration by voting en-masse for APGA in the Nov. 18.

Obiageli Okeke, wife of the deputy governor, also urged all to vote APGA, so that Obiano could consolidate on his achievements.

The immediate past governor of the state, Mr Peter Obi who sponsored the new couple, enjoined all to pray for the country.

He advised the couple to be patient, tolerant and always pray together.

Earlier, in his homily, Eugene Anowai, catholic priest, said, “a peaceful couple must know each other, love, respect, compliment, appreciate and above all pray for each other’’.

According to him, if these are not available, the `ontology of marriage’ will be destroyed.

The occasion attracted some important dignitaries among who are  Jonas Benson Okoye, auxiliary bishop of Awka Diocese,  Harry Uduh, head of Anambra State Civil Service, Uju Okeke, former commissioner for education.

Others are Iyke Nkala, a philanthropist, Tony Nwoye, governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, J.J Ezeokafor (Jesco oil), father of the bride and women from 11 parishes that make up the Amawbia Deanery.
