FG Declares Monday as Public Holiday

THE federal government has declared Monday, May 2, as public holiday to commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day Celebration. Abdulrahman Dambazau, minister of interior, who announced this on behalf of the federal government, congratulated Nigerian Workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, despite current challenges.

According to a statement issued by Bassey Okon, permanent secretary in the ministry of interior, the minister enjoined Nigerians to continue to support the President in his desire to fight corruption, ensure security of lives and property and stabilize the economy through creation of jobs and diversification of the economy.
