THE Federal Ministry of Health hereby dissociates itself from the letter written by the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf.

“The Ministry hereby stated that Prof. Yusuf, being a public officer, is bound by the regulations governing the Public Service. The NHIS is an agency supervised by the Federal Ministry of Health,” the ministry said in statement made available to Realnews on Friday.

The stated signed by Boade Akinola, director, Media and Public Relations, Federal ministry of health, Abuja, said that “the Administrative panel of Inquiry raised by the Ministry to investigate activities of the agency has commenced its assignment with specific terms of reference.”
