Finale of Dreaming New Worlds Programme opens in Lagos
Africa
By Anthony Isibor
THE Goethe-Institut Lagos exhibition titled Kedu Lagos has announced invitation to the finale of the Dreaming New Worlds Programme, an initiative dedicated to platforming projects and people that explore the human experience using tools at the intersection of art, science and technology.
According to the organizers, the event promises to delve into the heart of Lagos’s cultural and technological evolution; a nod to Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe’s 1996 highlife album, Kedu America where Osadebe grieves and celebrates a nostalgic attachment to a culture re-grounded, Kedu Lagos repositions this context against Lagos.
The event will also feature an exhibition housed in the historic Old Government Printing Press explores the city’s knowledge systems against the backdrop of technological evolution witnessed today.
Kedu Lagos offers a captivating glimpse into the future of art and science collaborations in Nigeria. It offers opportunities to:
- Artist Showcase: Witness the work of talented artists and technologists who push the boundaries of creativity.
- Engage in Immersive Experiences: Interact with cutting-edge technology, from Quantum principles to augmented reality
- Cultural Exploration: Discover Lagos’s rich history, traditions, and evolving identity
- Thought-provoking Discussions: Participate in panel discussions and workshops on the future of art, technology, and culture.
