Former Enugu lawmakers salute Mbah on 1st year anniversary

THE Former Lawmakers of the Enugu State House of Assembly, FLENSHA, comprising the former speakers and principal officers at its plenary on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 resolved to congratulate, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his one year in office as the Governor of Enugu State.
The FLENSHA also congratulates the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Uche Ugwu, for his adroitness in managing the affairs of the House and upholding the parliamentary tradition and dignity both within and outside the hallowed chamber.
The members commended the cordial relationship between the Legislature and the Executive and noted that acrimony, frictions or conflicts between the legislature and the executive had in the past derailed the focus of the state government.
“It is our hope that the full dividends of democracy to the people of Enugu State will be best realised in a coherent peaceful Legislature/Executive relations.
The FLENSHA noted with immense delight the robust policies and programmes of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration and the uncommon impressive accomplishments within one year in office.
“We also observed that the impact of the Mbah administration is felt simultaneously in all the electoral wards in Enugu State.
“Furthermore, FLENSHA appreciates the Mbah commitment and determination to leave indelible legacies behind.
“On behalf of FLENSHA, I wish His Excellency a happy Democracy Day,”
the statement by Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, Chairman of FLENSHA, said.
