Foundation tasks leaders on programme evaluation before implementation
Politics
THE Daniel Ukwu Leadership Foundation (DULF) has tasked political, community and religious leaders on evaluation of actions and programmes before implementation.
The Founder, Mr Daniel Ukwu, gave the task on Tuesday in Enugu while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on why some leaders and programmes failed in the course of project implementation.
According to Ukwu, a wise and progressive leader mediates and asks questions on every development.
He said: “To meditate for a progressive minded leader means to examine, to experience and to evaluate one’s actions before execution.
“This is very important to avoid regrets syndrome or a negative end of programmes.
“Everything rises and falls on leadership. So, leaders must be careful before taking decisions either minor or important.
“Never blame any person except yourself in your leadership journey as you must solely take responsibility if you indeed want to lead by example and succeed.”
Ukwu noted that some leaders failed due to bad counsel and being led astray by corrupt and greedy persons or aides.
“A leader begins to fail when he/she browses for wrong counsel and begins to listen to greedy and corrupt voices.
“A leader fails when he/she joins or surrounds himself/herself with wrong and wicked persons,” he added. (NAN)
