THE Yusuf John-Suberu Foundation has trained some members of staff of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) on digital publication and strategic advertising to boost their efficiency and professionalism.

John-Suberu said that the professional training was also organised to equip the staff of PCC in order to carry out the mandate of the commission effectively and excellently well.

He said that the foundation had embarked on various capacity building for teenagers and youths in recent times adding that staff of PCC were trained for the overall growth of the commission.

According to him, the foundation is doing this to support the Federal Government effort at ensuring workers are well equip to carry out their duties diligently at all times.

“Fifteen staff from various departments in the commission was trained. It is expected that they take the training back to others so that everyone would have the knowledge of what digital publication and strategic advertising is all about.

“This will be replicated in other agencies of the government and also private organisations will not be left out. We will ensure workers gained knowledgeable skills to carry out their official duties rightly and appropriately

“We chose digital publication and strategic advertising because the world is evolving and technology is the order of the day. This skill can help any business organisation attract a broader audience.

“It is a preferred resource for content distribution because it allows you to make your information available to billions of people around the world. With this, the commission can interact with many people across the globe,” he said.

John-Suberu called on other private companies and individuals to see the task of developing the country as a collective one.

He said that the issue of the development of a country whether human or capital was a collective responsibility for all and therefore not the exclusive preserve of the government.

“Many people do not know or do not seem to remember that the issue of the development of any society rest on the joint efforts of everyone.

“All we did was to make our contributions to the development of the society, our belief is that if we develop the human mind, the environment itself will develop,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that certificates of participation and attendance were issued to participants at the end of the training. (NAN)
