FRSC decorates 4 newly promoted officers in Badagry

THE Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Badagry Unit, on Thursday decorated four of its newly promoted officers with their ranks.
Addressing the newly promoted officers at the command’s office in Badagry, Mr William Manga, the Unit Commander, urged them to uphold the core values of the FRSC.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the newly promoted officers include Mrs Regina Anyebe, who was promoted to Deputy Route Commander, while Mr Omole Lawrence, Mr Ogundeko Samson and Mr Elijah Kondo, promoted to Assistant Route Commanders.
According to him, the core values are transparency, fairness, timeliness and service orientation.
“Your appraisal scored you well, that is why you are being decorated today; it is expected that you must live up to the expectations of the corps.
“It is expected that you work to support the corporate strategy goal of FRSC.
“Our mission is to create safe motoring environment in Nigeria,” he said.
He urged the promoted officers to increase their zeal in carrying out their duties.
Manga expressed his appreciation to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the promotion and urged the officers of the command to work harder.
“You will continue to inspire and lead by example, in making significant contributions to the success and effectiveness of our unit and FRSC.
“Your promotion is not just a recognition of your past achievement, but a vote of confidence of your future potential and capabilities,” he stated.
In his goodwill message, the Commander, Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Badagry Command, Mr Voki Oghoghome, urged the newly promoted officers to redouble their efforts in taking the FRSC to greater heights.
“Officers, you will need to exercise your authority as officers. Work in harmony with others, work together.
“Your promotion did not come easy, you worked hard for it and you must not relent on your oars,” he said.
In her response, on behalf of the newly decorated officers, Deputy Route Commander Anyebe, appreciated the Corps Marshal and Unit Commander for rewarding their performances with promotion to another rank.
Anyebe urged other officers of the unit to be hardworking, courageous and follow the rules and regulations of the corps. (NAN)
