THE Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo State Command, on Monday decorated six newly-promoted Deputy Corps Commanders (DCCs) and 48 others promoted to various positions in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that among the newly-decorated DCCs, is the FRSC Unit Commander in Egbeda, DCC Akeem Kareem.
NAN reports that also decorated is the Command’s Public Education Officer, CRC Chijioke Inyama, who was decorated to new rank of Chief Route Commander (CRC).
In his remarks, the FRSC Sector Commander in Oyo State, Joshua Adekanye, said that no fewer than 140 FRSC personnel were recently promoted by FRSC management to various ranks in Oyo State.
Adekanye listed the new ranks to include one Corps Commander, six Deputy Corps Commanders, two Assistant Corps Commanders, 17 Chief Route Commanders, 45 Superintendent Route Commanders, 31 Route Commanders and 38 Deputy Route Commanders.
The Sector Commander called on the newly-promoted personnel to be more dedicated and committed to duty in order to justify their promotions.
He said that promotion comes from God and the exercise was also parts of FRSC management’s drive toward rewarding excellence, selflessness and hard work.
Adekanye further urged the officers to continue to put in their best in the course of their duty, adding that the new ranks calls for more focus and passion in the discharge of their humanitarian service to the motoring public.
Speaking on behalf of the newly-promoted officers, DCC Isaac Adebayo thanked God for the promotion and called on the younger ones not to loose hope, adding that theirs would come at their appropriate time.
“We were worried before our promotion eventually came and we thank God that it came eventually, I call on others not to loose hope and to know that promotion does not come from anyone but from God,” he said.
He pledged their commitment to redouble their effort in discharging their duty for the success of FRSC and Nigeria in general. (NAN)
