THE Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun Command, has urged stakeholders in transport sector to collaborate with its personnel in curbing accident on the roads in the state.

The Sector Commander, Mr Peter Oke, gave the Advice during his meeting with stakeholders on Friday in Osogbo.

He stressed that efforts aimed at ensuring constant safety of life on high ways was a collective responsibility.

According to him, there is high rate of accidents on the highways due to inadequate sensitisation of motorists and other road users on the need to adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

Oke also appealed to stakeholders to support the corps by creating awareness on the need for motorists to internalise the culture of safe driving, to reduce road accidents in the area.

He said the command planned to improve on its operational activities and public enlightenment campaign in order to checkmate disobedience to traffic rule as regulations by motorists.
