THE Transition Chairman IdemilI north LGA, Sir Chuks Brown  Igboanua has commended the Federal Road Safety Commission for its resolve  to site one of its area command offices at Idemili north LGA.

In an official visit to the council headquarters at Ogidi,  Sir Chuks commended the Deputy Corp Commander in charge of the Local Government Area Station Office in Anambra state,  Mrs G.I.Omeke for her commitment to duty.

Mrs Omeke in a remark, reminded  the council Boss that the purpose of her visit  was to brief him on the recent decision of the commission to request every state in Nigeria to create two Area Commands of the Corps in their domain.

In her words,“This will be different from the existing twelve Zonal offices overseeing the sector Commands with 725 unit Commands, with station offices created about 3 years ago.’

Mrs  Omeke stated  that having deployed the instrumentality of her office as the Officer in charge of FRSC in the 21 local government areas of the state, she  discovered that Idemili north LGA was highly rated oamong other LGAs, judging from available statistical data and indices  used in the selection.

The FRSC top official appreciated the Transition Chairman for granting her team audience to interact with him.

It will be recalled that the new corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety, Dauda Ali  on assumption of office early in the year decided to effect further expansion of the office by creating  Area Commands in each of the 36 states of the Federation (MOI).
