Fubara, Daniel, George others for Freedom Online’s 6th annual lecture

GOV. Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers will deliver the sixth annual lecture of   Freedom Online  newspaper on Thursday in Lagos.

Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the online newspaper, Mr Gabriel Akinadewo ,said this in a statement on Friday.

Akinadewo said that Fubara would also be the Special Guest Speaker at the programme.

According to him, a former Ogun governor and Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, will  be the Keynote Speaker of the lecture titled “Nigeria’s Socio-Political Challenges: Whose Fault, Leaders or the Led?’

He said that Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be the Chairman of the event.

According to him, other personalities billed to grace the lecture as guests of honour include a former Police Affairs Minister, retired Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade and the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Gani Adams.

Akinadewo listed other guests as  a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr Dakuku Peterside and Prof. Akin Onigbinde, the Executive Secretary, Centre for Policy and Development Studies, Ilepa, Ogun.

Akinadewo said the President, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mr Eze Anaba, and the President, Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, Maureen Chigbo, would be Chief Hosts.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Freedom Online is an online news platform published by SWAAYA Limited, Lagos.

The 2025 edition of the lecture will hold at Sheraton Hotels in Ikeja (NAN)
