Ganduje condoles with Buni over Mafa attack

ABDULLAHI Ganduje, National Chairman, All Progressives Congress ( APC), has condoled with Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe over the recent suspected Boko Haram attack in Mafa.

Ganduje, who led the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to Damaturu on Thursday, described the attack as callous and senseless.

“ We are here to identify with the government and people of the state at this trying moment of callous attack and senseless killing of innocent people.

“We are part of the Yobe family, we feel the pain and sorrow suffered by the government and people of Yobe, and we are here to condole with our brothers and sisters over this sad incident,” he said.

The chairman called on the government and security agencies to strengthen the existing synergy to effectively fight the menace.

He consoled the families of the victims, expressing optimism that the state would soon come out of the trying times by the special grace of God.

In his remarks, Buni commended the NWC for identifying with the government and people of the state over the sad and unfortunate incident.

“This visit gives us a sense of belonging, we feel cared for by the party and the leadership.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Yobe, l thank you and appreciate you for coming,” Buni said.

He expressed the readiness of his administration to cooperate with all the security agencies for enhanced service delivery.

The governor also promised his unwavering support to front-line security agencies including the Army, Police and vigilance groups to up their game in the fight against insurgency. (NAN)
