Ganduje inaugurates Kano power project, many others

KANO State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Saturday inaugurated the state Hydroelectric Power Project at Tiga Dam in Bebeji local government area of the state.

A statement by the out-going commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Muhammad Garba stated that the power plant was built to enhance power supply to parts of the state.

Garba noted that the state government has also outlined 25 other key projects to be inaugurated which were executed by the Ganduje administration on Saturday and Sunday before handing over to the the incoming government on Monday.

The projects included the Tamburawa Transmission Station in Dawakin Kudu local government, the Ceremonial Court at Audu Bako Secretariat and the newly constructed three star Daula Hotel at Nassarawa local government.

Others are the Bureau de Change Market Complex in Fagge local government area, the Masallacin Idi Shopping Complex and the new Triumph Newspaper office at Dawakin Kudu local government area.

The commissioner also disclosed that the outgoing governor would also at the weekend preside over the valedictory session of the Kano State Executive Council during which the council would be formally dissolved.
