Head wraps made from patterns of ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags was one of the highlights of the just concluded 2018 Lagos Fashion Week (LFW).

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the headgear, designed by Nkwo Onwuka, is part of the ‘It’s a wrap’ collection which made their first public appearance when Prince Charles hosted some Nigerian fashion designers recently in London.

Onwuka is known for creating timeless pieces using African-inspired elements, colours and fabrics through her brand, Nkwo official.

Speaking on the collection’s showcase at Prince Charles’ reception, Onwuka said she was grateful for the chance to showcase sustainable fashion from Nigeria.

She said, “on behalf of the Lagos Fashion Week, our pieces were presented to the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at a reception organised by The Royal Highnesses ahead of their visit to Ghana, Nigeria and The Gambia.”

NAN reports that the annual Lagos Fashion Week features masterclasses and runway shows from Nigerian designers.
