MAUREEN Chigbo, President, Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, GOCOP, has called on Information Technology, IT, experts to employ various monitoring gadgets “to monitor and report” electoral processes during 2023 election.

Speaking at the 6th edition of the Economic Summit organized by WorldStage Limited on Wednesday in Lagos, Chigbo, who is also the publisher of Realnews Magazine Online, urged all well-meaning Nigerians, especially the professionals in the IT sector to take all legitimate measures to observe and report the voting processes in their locations so as to protect their votes and get the right persons in the right positions.

According to her, it is highly important to have the best leaders for the country; who truly represent the people’s choices.

While underscoring the importance of good leadership for infrastructural development for a sustainable economy, she noted that to right the wrongs of the past, all eligible voters should get their Permanent Voters Card, PVC, and exercise their civic responsibility in order to get quality representation and leadership at all levels of governance in the country.
