Goddy Ikeh to become Fellow of Nigerian Guild of Editors

THE Standing Committee of the Nigerian Guild of Editors has approved the confernment of the Fellow of Nigerian Guild of Editors, FNGE, on Goddy Ikeh, a seasoned journalist.

Ikeh, who retired from the News Agency of Nigeria as deputy editor-in-chief is still involved in the training of journalists and media consultancy.

The information about the FNGE was relayed in a congratulatory letter written to Ikeh by the Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE, and signed by its General Secretary, Iyobosa Uwugiaren, on Monday, October 4.

NGE, also revealed that the conferment ceremony will take place at the All Nigeria Editors’ Conference, ANEC, scheduled to hold in Abuja, between October 21 and 22.

The congratulatory letter read in part: “We are pleased to inform you that the Standing Committee the Guild has approved the report of the Fellowship Screening Sub-Committee, which recommended the conferment of Fellow of Nigerian Guild of Editors (FNGE) on you.

“While congratulating you on this well-deserved honor – by the highest professional organization in the media sector, please, note that the conferment ceremony will take place at the All Nigeria Editors’ Conference (ANEC) scheduled for Abuja between October 21 and 22, 2021.

“We look forward to receiving you at the conference.”

Other executive members of the Guild are, Mustapha Isah, President, Al M. Ali, Deputy President, Sarn Egbala, Vice President (East), Habibu Nuhu, Vice President (North), Mobolaji Adebiyi, Vice President (West), Iyobosa Uwugairen, General Secretary, Auteen Elewodalu, Asst. General Secretary, Steve Nwosu, Treasurer, Eze Araba, Main Imbrahim Noruke Newuoke, Boma wake, Socia/Publicity Secretary.
