THE Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr Nasir Idris, has approved the sum of N241,341,953:21k for the payment of gratuity to 91 retired workers from November to December, 2023.

The governor had also approved N34,662,964:80 for adjustment of disparity in pension for 2012/2013 retirees in the state.

Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, the State Head of Service, disclosed this in a statement, made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

The approvals were made based on the recommendation by a committee set-up by the governor to ascertain claims made by some aggrieved retirees.

He said that 91 retirees were verified from the 96 beneficiaries submitted by the Kwaido-led committee covering both the state and local government retirees.
