GOV. Nasir Idris of Kebbi, has counseled people to imbibe the habit of constructive criticism against any government to pave way for a decent, fair, and responsible democracy.

He stated this while receiving a newly formed organisation, “Tinubu Kauran Gwandu Continuity Movement (TKG) on a courtesy at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

The governor advised that: “Even if you want to criticise, do that constructively, criticise with verifiable facts.”

The governor observed that some people would luck themselves in a room “and write what they want against us. You can continue to write whatever you like against us in the next ten years, it doesn’t concern us.

“During the previous administrations, the same set of people used to luck up themselves in a room and write nonsense against government, the then government used to call them and give them money.

“Kauran Gwandu will not call anybody and give him money because he writes all sorts of lies against the current administration. Kebbi government’s money belongs to the people of Kebbi.

“This is the money we are using to work for the betterment of our people, so, we cannot just give it out to some people for nothing,” he said.

The governor assured the new organisation of total support to enable it achieve its set goals and objectives.

Earlier, the Chairman of TKG, Alhaji Kabiru Labbo-Jega told the governor that the movement was not a campaign organisation but an entity that was ready to propagate the good works of the governor and that of the present to the general public.

He said the essence of their meeting today was sensitise their executive members on the activities of the organisation and the best way to sell out the good works of the governor and the president.

Labbo-Jega added that the organisation aimed to bring a new dawn in the history of kebbi politics.

In his speech, the Director General of TKG, Alhaji Kabiru Sani-Giant said the organisation was established by the Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Umar Ahmed Farouk to promote President Tinubu and Gov. Idris’s projects.

He said the organisation was deep rooted into the grassroots level  with a view to bringing people together towards achieving a common goal. (NAN)
