Government urges electorate to vote APGA

GOVERNOR Willie Obiano of Anambra has enjoined the electorate to cast their votes for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, candidates to enable it sustain the tempo of good governance being enjoyed in the state.
He reminded the people that they benefited so much from the government under the platform of the party, noting, “you should take ownership of the party by voting massively for all it candidates.’’
Obiano who was on a “’Thank You tour’’ of Ihiala Local Government Area, said there was need for the people to support the party for stability and continued development.
He thanked the people of Ihiala for working hard for his re-election in 2017, urging them to replicate the feat that enabled the party to record overwhelming victory in 2017 during the upcoming general elections.
He used the occasion to present the party’s flag to the party’s candidates vying for State and National Assembly elections in the area, urging the people to vote them into offices.
Chukwuma Soludo, the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, extolled Obiano for impacting positively on lives of Ndi Anambra and tasked the electorate to pay him back by ensuring victory for the party.
Soludo said the people of Anambra South District have had their fair share of democratic dividends from the present administration.
He, then, urged them to vote and work for the success of the party in all elective positions during this year’s General Elections to enthrone good working synergy in political configuration of the state.
Ifeanyi Odumegwu, the transition committee chairman, Ihiala Local Government Council, commended Obiano for considering it worthy to visit the council after his re-election for a second term in office.
He described him as an honest leader who has left indelible marks on the sands of time and promised to mobilise the people to achieve victory for the party.
Norbert Obi, the state chairman of the party, said Obiano decided to visit the council to fulfil his promise to them during his re-election campaign.
While soliciting for their support for the party in the upcoming State and National Assembly elections, he said that all the 20 wards in the council would be adequately rewarded if they work for the party’ success.
Dignitaries present at the event include, C Don Adinuba, the commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, and Tony Oli, the chairman Anambra State Sports Development Commission.
