IN my own assessment of the matter, I will tell you authoritatively that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Sen. T.A Orji are having no imbroglios as being projected.

I have always said it that the problem Okezie Ikpeazu has, is the fact that he surrounded himself with people who just wanted him to be destroyed by all means. And he aided them by giving them the room to do so.

Why would someone, at this time, be making a comparison between Ochendo and Ikpeazu? If someone had wanted to make a comparison of Okezie’s government, he should be compared with his counterparts from other States.

Have you ever seen Dave Umahi’s appointees making a comparison of Dave and Elechi? Umahi’s achievements are there to make the comparisons.

Dave Umahi did not meet a working State, he didn’t start blaming Elechi for the woes, instead, he hit the ground running, and today, he can proudly point at the things he has achieved that Elechi couldn’t achieve.

Those who project Okezie Ikpeazu are doing him the greatest disservice due to lack of things to protect. “I am owing 12 months salary arrears because I met 4 months unpaid arrears.” How does this statement sound to you? Mischievous right?

Imagine Umahi saying, “I refused to bequeath this airport because my predecessor pocketed the money meant for it.”

The following are statements Gov. Ikpeazu should be making by now if he had performed well:

“My counterpart in Ebonyi did 17 flyovers within 8 years, but we have been able to bequeath one at Isigate Umuahia, one at Osisioma junction, one at Aba Waterside, and another at Opobo junction to ease our people’s movements.”

“I heard that my Ebonyi counterpart just commissioned an airport. Well, an airport has no economic value to our State at the moment, but, in our government’s resolve to ensure that Abians are given the best of services, we have been able to open  the Obeaku sea port in Ukwa, which is 25 nautical miles away from the Atlantic Ocean from the confluence of Imo river and Azumini blue river. We have also been able to active the Nitigha dry port, which has employed hundreds of our people as we speak.”

“We came into power realizing that there was a division between core and not core civil servants, but we have been able to close that gap of division by ensuring that our government pays every civil servant as and when due without any form of discrimination.”

When one realizes that he has failed, he looks for the nearest available route to push the blames on others. Those who made Ikpeazu to fail are those failures and rogues he surrounded himself with.

Which progressive governor appoints a character like Agbazuere as a chief of staff to spray money in government house?
