Group hails Ambode, says his strides phenomenal

A group, Ambode Consolidation Group (ACG), on Thursday said Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State had re-defined governance through his phenomenal strides in the state.
The Convener-General of the group, Mr Garbadeen Olabode, made the statement at the inauguration of its members in the Ikeja Division, in Lagos.
Olabode said the impact of Ambode’s achievements could be seen and felt in all parts of the state, as his administration had improved the lots of residents.
He said that the governor had established himself as a model of performance in just three years, and deserved another term to do more.
“Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is a phenomenon. He has recorded phenomenal achievements in the state in just three years as governor.
“From Epe, to Badagry to Alimosho, he is executing projects such as roads, hospitals and many more that have impacted on the lives of residents,” Olabode said.
He said the formation of the group was inspired by the achievements of Ambode and the need to support his re-election bid to bring more development.
“The “Consolidation’ in the middle of our name is deliberate. We strongly believe the governor will consolidate on his many achievements on another term,” the convener said.
Olabode urged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to vote in 2019.
He said the inauguration of the Ikeja branch of the group was part of ACG ‘s commitment to ensure presence in all parts of the state.
According to him, the group has already taken off in Badagry, Alimosho and other parts of the state.
The convener said that chapters would soon be open in the United Kingdom and Ireland to get support for the governor beyond the shores of the country.
Speaking at the event, a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Adeyemi Ikuforoji, commended Olabode for the initiative.
He said the formation of the group would help to strengthen the support base of the governor in the state ahead of 2019.
Ikuforiji described Ambode as a performer, saying he had brought about more development in the state in the last three years.
“I commend you for this. This group will no doubt strengthen the support for our governor as Lagosians deserve to vote him for another term.
“I am happy because you are selling a product that is sellable and in fact selling.
“Our governor has recorded great achievements in all parts of the state impacting on lives.
“This group is clearly a good initiative to ensure that all the achievements are consolidated. I congratulate you and I will continue to support you,” he said.
In his remarks, a member of the state House of Assembly, Mr Segun Olulade, also described Ambode as an exceptional leader.
He said residents and the state lawmakers were proud of his achievements in three years.
Olulade urged residents to support Ambode to consolidate on the achievements of his administration.(NAN)
