Group urges indending protesters to be law abiding

ADAMAWA likeminds has urges protesters to be law abiding citizens before, during and after the planned nationwide peaceful protest scheduled from  Aug. 1 to 10.

Mr Danladi Jonah, spoke person of the group made the call on Wednesday at a  media briefing in Yola.

He called on the  people of the state not to support evil just because it favoured  them, saying it may turn against them the next day.

“We want to use this medium to call on the citizens to peacefully express themselves, while matching on the streets of Adamawa.

“In the same vain,  we are calling on the security agencies to adequately provide security for the protesters as well as safe guard  lives and properties, especially government assets during the protest”, he said.

Jonah further called on government to do the needful to end the hardship and for the development of the country.

According to him, the protest is a strong weapon to draw the attention of government on the need to bring back fuel subsidy among others. (NAN)
