Guest Lecturer, others arrive for Realnews 11th Annual Lecture in Lagos

ALL is set for the Realnews 11th Anniversary Lecture at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.    

The Guest Lecturer and the Director General, Inter-Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa, Edwin W. Harris, and other speakers arrived in Lagos on Monday afternoon and have already checked into their hotel at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, the venue of the event.

The other speakers at the event include Ahmed Kuru, Managing Director, Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Kayode Adebayo, Director of Proceeds of Crime Department, Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Felix Obiamalu, Associate Director, Legal and Sanctions, Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

Mohammed Bello-Koko, Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), will chair the lecture, which will be delivered by Edwin W. Harris Jr., Director General of the ECOWAS Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA).  The discussion session will feature Adedayo and Obiamalu as discussants.

The theme of the lecture is “Threats of Illicit Funds Flow to the African Economy”.
