…says there was no sit-at-home order on the day Gulak was killed
…security agencies are unprofessional as the killing of Gulak is political
THE Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has refuted allegations that it killed Ahmed Gulak, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Gulak was killed on Sunday, May 30, in Owerri, en route to the airport.
Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, on Monday, May 31, described Gulak’s death as a “professional assassination.”
Dissociating members of the IPOB from the killing, Powerful described the claims by the Nigerian intelligence community that it was responsible as false and unprofessional.
According to him, Governor Hope Uzodinma should disclose how Gulak died, adding that “The Nigeria intelligence community has shown how unprofessional they are, noting that the incident happened on a day that is not sit-at-home.
“People are going to church and this was why he shifted the date to tomorrow. This is political assassination; we are not in the same party as Gulak.
“Uzodinma and APC know about Gulaks death, we do not know anything about his movement, talk more of him being in the state. Nigerians believe this because they hate IPOB, Biafra.”
