THE President, Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the incredible victory achieved through a 2-0 defeat against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroons. 

The match was in an ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Cote d’Ivoire. This has qualified the Eagles to the quarterfinals of the competition. 

A statement released by Tony Nezianya, the Public Relations Officer of the Committee that quotes Gumel as saying from Gangwon, South Korea, the venue of the Winter Youth Games, that exceptional skills, unwavering determination, and sheer teamwork were apparent throughout the entire game. 

He adds:  ”Your efforts on the field undoubtedly made every fan rejoice and filled us with immense pride”. 

The momentous victory against Cameroon, a formidable opponent, is a testament to your hard work and dedication, and the result of the countless hours of training and preparation.
